Welcome the LifeChurch Deacons!
Posted on July 13, 2008, by alex mclean, under deacons.
Our Deacons met the other morning and decided that using the blog as a means for communication would be a great idea. I couldn’t agree more! So we’ve created a category called “deacons” for them and you may see post from time to time. I think that’s so cool because it allows everyone to get an “insiders view” on how they operate and serve the church.
You may be wondering what a “deacon” is - great question! The word is very ancient and comes from the time of the early Christian Church (50-70AD). The original word is “diakonos” which means servant or waiter. Our deacons have one main purpose and that is to serve others - one of the most Christ-like characteristics. You can read more about deacons here. We so value and appreciate them and couldn’t do what we do every weekend without them. THANK YOU Deacon Team!

What a STRONG Deacon Team we have at Life Church. I look forward to growing with each and everyone of you. We have been blessed with the position of Deacon and I can only pray I try to live up to the title. If there is anything I can do for anyone please let me know. ~Chuckh@getlife.tv~

We are blessed to have a group of men who want to serve in the “nuts and bolts” areas of ministry. I look forward to getting to know the other deacons, while serving Jesus.
